William J. Glodek

William Glodek has served as the President of BreakPoint Labs since co-founding the company in 2015. Bill takes the helm in communicating and implementing the company’s strategy and oversees the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and Cyber Research and Development (R&D) lines of business.

Leveraging his expertise and passion for cybersecurity, Bill has led several key projects, including developing and implementing a large-scale DCO platform that does cybersecurity monitoring to detect malicious activity across over 200 client network locations. Bill is a true solutions architect — regularly interacting with clients to understand their complex military and enterprise cybersecurity challenges while working to develop sustainable solutions that enable mission success.

With more than 15 years of technical experience, Bill has led numerous initiatives and large teams, including software development, digital forensics, incident response, and applied research. He’s also a recognized expert in development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) environments to accelerate the delivery of effective and resilient software to meet client needs and critical infrastructure cybersecurity demands.

Before founding BreakPoint Labs, Bill served as the Network Security Branch Chief at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL), where he managed a portfolio of basic (6.1) and applied (6.2) cyber research efforts with partners across the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Government, academia, and other industry professionals. While at ARL, Bill created Dshell, an open-source Python-based network forensics analysis framework used extensively by law enforcement and counterintelligence agencies. Thanks to his efforts, Bill later earned recognition from the Director of the FBI for his technical contributions to some high-profile investigations.

Bill has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Florida State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.
